Sometimes the person who treats you the worst in life is… you.

Today we’re going to talk about how we talk to ourselves. We’re going to look at something good writers do sometimes, when they create what’s called an “unreliable narrator.

That works great in fiction, to keep the reader guessing and to unfold a story to shape the reader’s perspective.

But the worst thing you can do to yourself in real life is to listen to an unreliable narrator who tells you the wrong story about your own life.
